27pitches Challenges You to a Second Half NFL Pick ‘em

Yup, that’s right. There are no excuses now. Halfway through the regular season, Brando and I have a decent idea of where these teams are. No more crazy, stupid sleeper predictions that won’t pan out (although I amended for that by telling you that the Chargers and Cowboys will disappoint, which I’m still vehemently sticking to).

Yup – it’s time to initiate a second half pick ‘em competition between myself and the aforementioned Brando. Anyone who wants to consistently place their picks every Friday in the comments section is welcome to try and beat us, although you don’t stand a chance. In fact, if a reader does take the time to follow it every week and make their picks and happens to best both of our records at season’s end, I’ll reward them with a 27pitches gift pack, complete with t-shirt, keychain, and I’ll throw in one or two other nifty prizes as well.

We’ll be using ESPN’s Vegas line, as it stands on Friday morning. Just go to the NFL page on ESPN, click on scores, and in each matchup box you’ll see the line in the lower left hand corner. You’ll have until noon (Eastern time) each Sunday to get in your picks, should you be up to the challenge. If you want to have an edge on any other readers, feel free to further your NFL education by reading my NFL.com postings, and, to a lesser extent, Brando’s NFL.com postings (hey, it’s a competition).  And so, without further adieu, this week’s picks, which are in bold:
