Court Doesn’t Care That Native Americans Are Embarassed by Redskins
The Supreme Court today came to a decision regarding the dispute between some disgruntled Native Americans and the Washington Redskins’ logo. They decided that they don’t care how offensive it might be, it’s there to stay.
Listen, I can understand where the Native Americans are coming from – I mean, the Redskins may have won yesterday, but let’s be honest, they are just terrible. Would you want something representing you on Jason Campbell’s head? Me neither.

But the bottom line is these Native Americans have to suck it up. I’m Irish and you don’t see me trying to bring down Notre Dame because Charlie Weis and company are terrible. If anything, having an NFL team, let alone the familiar logo of one of the most popular NFL franchises in history, is more flattering than anything else. Instead of trying to get the logo taken away, they should have concentrated some efforts on getting a share of the revenue so that they can erect some more casinos.
