27pitches Is Bursting onto the Podcast Scene
As many of you know, only two teams make the Superbowl. The chances are that yours isn’t one of them. Having no vested interest in a game can sometimes make it hard to get amped up. Fear not, loyal readers — 27pitches is at your service. With nearly a year under our belt and loyal fan base comprised of great people like you, it’s time to take things to the next level. With that in mind, Brandon and I have decided to bring a secret weapon into the fold — Dave Jacober. You may remember him from his Tiger post or perhaps you recently perused his musings about the Philly fan base and Donovan McNabb, in which he lit up the comment lamp a couple dozen times, generating some good reader-to-reader feedback.

If there’s one thing that Brandon and I excel at, it’s recognizing talent. But we’re also great at knowing when to settle for what’s within reach, and with that in mind, I’d like to formally welcome Dave to the 27pitches team. He brings with him a lot of charisma, but most importantly, he knows how to download, record, and edit a podcast.
In all seriousness, Dave lends a great voice to the site, and can lend a New England voice to our New York/Philly specialties. His well-rounded knowledge of sports makes him a great addition to the site, and I hope our readers will recognize the first of many podcasts to come, which we had a good time recording tonight and will be posted tomorrow or Wednesday. We are affectionately calling our podcats 27minutes — sure, it may run a little bit longer, but even if we talk for an hour, I can promise that at least 27 minutes of it will be worth listening to (and the goal will be to keep to to that length, since nearly everyone in my generation, myself included, has some degree of ADHD).
So welcome Dave with open arms, and be sure to stay tuned for our inaugural podcast.
