Since we are basically halfway through the NFL season, I thought I’d take the time to give out my midseason awards. We all know that it’s not how you start but how you finish, but there are some teams that regardless of how they finish their seasons have been lost. Obviously these awards are subject to change as the season progresses, but as of right now, this is how I see things.

Even when it looks like the Saints might be upended and come back down to Earth, they find a way to pull it out stay unblemished. Last week they found a way to come from 21 points down to thrash the Dolphins in the second half and winning by 12. This week they faced a tougher test against division rival Atlanta and after facing a 14-7 deficit at the end of the first quarter, they reeled off three straight touchdowns in the second quarter to take a lead they would not relinquish, even though things got quite dicey at the end.
